2/27/2026 Update:
The stormwater project is on schedule thus far. Contractors have finished Harland Avenue, including replacement of driveways and sod. Removal and replacement of irrigation systems has also gone well, with no complaints from residents. At this point, only a few situations have arisen where city water lines have needed to be moved. The City of Melbourne Water Department responded in a very timely manner to all of these instances.
This week, construction has been occurring on Poinsettia Road. Thank you to contractor Atlantic Development of Cocoa for going the extra mile in making this project resident-friendly, from advising residents during preconstruction to answering questions during the project. And thank you to our residents for their patience during construction!
We hope to provide additional updates as the project progresses. Should you have any questions, please reach out to Town Hall at (321) 724-5860.
The Town of Melbourne Beach will soon begin work on the Basin 1 Stormwater Improvement Project. This important infrastructure project is part of the Town’s ongoing efforts to enhance stormwater management, reduce flooding, and improve overall water quality within our community.
Construction is expected to begin in the coming weeks and will take place in the Basin 1 area (see map below). Residents may notice temporary construction activity, traffic adjustments, and equipment in the area during the project period.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as these improvements are made. Every effort will be taken to minimize inconvenience and maintain access for residents throughout construction.
For questions or additional information, please contact Town Hall at (321) 724-5860 or visit this page for updates.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to invest in our community’s infrastructure.
