Duties & Responsibilities

The Public Works Department provides a variety of services for the Town of Melbourne Beach, including:

• Building maintenance
• Road and sign maintenance
• Parks and grounds maintenance

Public Works is also responsible for:

• Repairing and performing preventative maintenance and modifications to all Town structures
• Cleaning and repairing all storm drain inlets
• Cleaning storm drain swales
• Maintaining nineteen (19) miles of Town streets
• Replacing damaged signs and installing new signs as required
• Maintaining all of the Town parks and implementing beautification projects
