"Hometown Heroes" Application Open Now Through January 15, 2025

The program is designed to honor Town of Melbourne Beach residents, business/property owners, or their immediate family members who are actively serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, are veterans, or were killed in the line of duty.

Town Hall Becomes Toys for Tots Drop Site

Please consider making a donation this year to Toys for Tots! New, unwrapped toys will be accepted in both the Town Hall lobby and Police Department lobby through Monday, December 16th.

Riverside Dr. Paving Reminder

As a reminder, milling and paving is taking place on Riverside Drive. We encourage residents to take alternate routes and avoid Riverside when possible, as they are diverting northbound traffic and southbound traffic has to drive around the trucks. Please be careful if you choose to drive on Riverside and pay attention to all posted signs and workers in the area.

Yard Waste Update from Waste Pro 11/1/2024

Waste Pro has agreed to increase their debris pickup schedule in order to wrap up post-hurricane cleanup. They expect to be done within the next two weeks.

"If I Were Mayor" Essay Contest - Florida League of Mayors

The Florida League of Mayors partners with the Florida League of Cities to offer the annual If I Were Elected Mayor essay contest for Florida 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

A Florida student (in grades 6th, 7th or 8th) can win up to $1,000 for writing an essay! The essay needs to be about making a difference as Mayor and how Home Rule helps make your municipality a great place to live.

Yard Waste Update from Waste Pro

In an effort to clear remaining Hurricane Milton yard waste, Waste Pro has added a third claw truck to their Thursday pickup schedule as of yesterday. They will continue doing so until the Town is caught up. To assist in speeding up this process, please place your smaller piles of yard waste into bins.
