The Town's Recreational Beach Fire Program is temporarily suspended in light of ongoing beach erosion and unfavorable coastal conditions. Once ocean conditions improve and the elevated surf subsides, we will reassess the condition of our beaches to determine whether sufficient beach area remains to safely accommodate recreational fires. At that time, we will evaluate whether the program can resume for the remainder of the season. This temporary suspension is a precautionary measure intended to protect public safety, preserve our beaches, and minimize potential environmental impacts.
