Public Notice is hereby given and published that the Town of Melbourne Beach, Florida will conduct a Municipal Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the purpose of electing one (1) Mayor for a three (3) year term.

Candidate Qualifying Period: Candidates may qualify during the qualifying period which begins at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, August 10, 2026, through 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, August 14, 2026. All persons desiring to qualify for candidacy should pick up a qualification package at the Office of the Town Clerk in the Melbourne Beach Town Hall.

Qualifications to Run for Office: Pursuant to the Town Charter and Chapter 13, Town Code of Ordinances, a person is required to be a registered voter, a resident of the Town of Melbourne Beach for at least twelve (12) months prior to the date of qualification for office, and 18 years of age. The person must submit a petition signed by not less than 25 qualified electors of the Town requesting the Town Commission to place the name of such candidate upon the official ballot, as well as pay the filing/assessment fee of $40 at the time of filing.
