"Hometown Heroes" Application Open Now Through January 15, 2025

The Town of Melbourne Beach is celebrating our “Hometown Heroes” in 2025.

This program is designed to honor Town of Melbourne Beach residents, business/property owners, or their immediate family members who are actively serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, are veterans, or were killed in the line of duty. The program also recognizes Town of Melbourne Beach employees who are veterans. From Memorial Day through July 2025, the Town will display street pole banners along Ocean Avenue and Ryckman Park, each featuring a different veteran’s name, photo, branch of service, and years served.

Banners will be removed and provided back to the Veteran or family of the Veteran.

Qualified applicants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
