The Hometown Heroes Banner Program is returning for 2026!
This program is designed to honor Town of Melbourne Beach residents or their immediate family members who are actively serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, are veterans, or were killed in the line of duty. From July 1 through Veterans Day, the Town will display street pole banners along Ocean Avenue and Ryckman Park, each featuring a different veteran’s name, photo, branch of service, and years served.
Banners will be removed and provided back to the Veteran or family of the Veteran, or can be stored by the Town for display the following year.
Qualified applicants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that for this year, the cost of each banner is $125, which includes installation and removal.
For details on how to apply, please review the 2026 Application(PDF, 192KB).
Applications may be submitted in person at Town Hall or emailed to office@melbournebeachfl.org. The application deadline is Friday, May 15, 2026.
