CAUTION: Please be advised that the area south of the 6th Avenue boat ramp has been cordoned off and is closed to the public. The ramp and remainder of the park is still usable, but please stay clear of the south section.
Important Founders Day Update
Due to the severe weather forecasted for this evening, including the potential for lightning, hail, damaging winds, and the possibility of tornadic activity, the Town of Melbourne Beach has made the difficult decision to close the Founders Day Festival early today at 6:00 PM.
The safety of our residents, visitors, vendors, volunteers, and staff must always come first. While we are disappointed to end the celebration earlier than planned, we believe this is the safest decision based on the weather conditions expected later this evening.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our community and support this special tradition. We also want to extend our gratitude to our vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and Town staff who helped make today possible.
Please stay weather aware this evening and take all necessary precautions to keep your family safe.
