Coach and Town Commissioner Anna Butler wanted to share the great achievements of our local high school tennis players, Melbourne High School's Boys and Girls Varsity Tennis Teams.
From Coach Butler: "The girls' team was undefeated all season going into Districts, and won Districts! They then competed in Regionals and lost, however their #1 singles player went straight to State competition yesterday, and lost. The boys' team was second in Districts, they then went on to win Regionals, and competed in States yesterday and lost."
Coach Butler also stated, "I'm so proud of these young men and women and wanted to share the good news with the community of Melbourne Beach, as Melbourne High School is our school. Melbourne Beach and Melbourne have some amazing youth coming through the ranks, which gives us great hope for the future!"
Anna Butler is a coach for the girls' team and fellow Melbourne Beach residents Stacie Neff and Cole Tuttle are coaches for the boys' team.
